ARMAGH SECONDS 45 BANN SECONDS 14
Bann Seconds never recovered from a slow start which left them trailing 21-0 at the interval.
After the break they showed some flashes of the flair that had marked their pre-Christmas Conference League campaign. Calum Russell hit a great line to take Aaron Kennedy’s feed and crash over for his side’s first score, with Kennedy adding the conversion.
And the scrum-half was again on target off the tee after Keir Patterson had collected an off-load from Matthew Shirlow and run half the length of the pitch to touch down at the posts.
Bu the home side continued to have the upper hand, adding 24 second half points for a comprehensive win and five Second XV League points as Bann look to get off the mark.
Russell was the stand-out player for the visitors, showing up exceptionally well both in defence and attack.
